Aiden is a coaching product, so the things you tell it are unusually personal for a business tool: ideas you haven't launched, reasoning you haven't shared, and honest doubts about whether you're the right person to build something. This page says plainly what happens to that.
What we collect
- Your account. Email address, name and profile image, handled by our authentication provider. We store your email so we can contact you about your account.
- Your coaching content. The conversations you have with Aiden, the decisions recorded from them, your Playbook, and the Build Spec generated at the end.
- Your private notes. Quick Notes, kept separately — see below.
- Payment details. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep only a customer reference, your plan, and its status.
- Usage records. How many coaching messages you send, and technical logs of errors so we can fix them.
How your coaching content is used
Your conversations are sent to Anthropic's API to generate Aiden's responses. That is the product working — there is no version of this that does not send what you write to a model. It is not used to train models.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your coaching content to market to you.
Quick Notes are never read by Aiden
Quick Notes is a private scratchpad. Its contents are never included in any prompt, any context sent to a model, any brief, or any generated document. No part of the coaching system reads it. It is stored so you can come back to it, and that is all it does.
Who else processes your data
We use these providers to run the product. Each only receives what it needs:
- Anthropic — generates coaching responses (receives your coaching content)
- Supabase — database (holds your account and coaching content)
- Clerk — sign-in and account management (holds your identity details)
- Stripe — payments (holds your payment details; we do not)
- Resend — sends account and coaching emails (receives your email address)
- Vercel — hosting
- Upstash — rate limiting (receives an account identifier, no content)
Email you receive
Account and billing emails are necessary and cannot be turned off while you have an account. Coaching emails — check-ins on commitments you made, and a nudge if a space has gone quiet — can be turned off, and turning them off stops both. Use the link at the bottom of any of those emails, or the Coaching reminders switch on the Account page.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account from the Account page, under "Delete your account". It asks you to type a confirmation first, because it cannot be undone.
When you do, we erase it for real: your spaces, conversations, decisions, Playbook, any Build Spec you generated, your notes, your usage records, and your sign-in details. Any subscription is cancelled at the same time, so nothing is charged afterwards. This includes the records we otherwise promise to keep readable for you — that promise applies when a plan lapses or is paused, not when you ask us to delete everything.
We cannot recover any of it afterwards, and we won't be able to help you get it back. If you only want to stop being billed, pausing or cancelling keeps everything readable — you don't need to delete anything to stop paying.
If anything fails partway, or you would rather we handled it, email hello@heyaiden.com and we will finish it by hand.
Your other choices
- Open your spaces and download your Build Spec for as long as your account is active — including after a plan lapses or is paused.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected.
- Turn off coaching emails.
For any of these, email hello@heyaiden.com.
Children
Aiden is a tool for people building products, and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data in a way that matters, we will say so here and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will email you.
